Discover Ravensthorpe's Wildflower Richness & Diversity for Yourself!

The Ravensthorpe Shire makes up the eastern half of the Fitzgerald River National Park, which is one of the richest and diverse wildflower areas in the world.

You will find stunning 20% of Western Australia’s 12,000 wild flower species within the Fitzgerald River National Park, which is recognised as a world Biosphere Reserve.

Come to the Ravensthorpe Wildflower Show and see a spectacular display of over 700 named species. You will also see 62 extremely rare species that can be only collected locally from one of the world’s richest areas of plant biodiversity.

Ravensthorpe Wildflower Show Activities

The Ravensthorpe Herbarium is located next door to the show venue, and houses a large collection of wildflower specimens that have been collected from within the Ravensthorpe Shire.

Pay a visit the Ravensthorpe Wildflower Show Shop where you will be available to buy genuine wildflower products, books, wildflower DVDs, and works of local artists and crafts people.

Take part in one of the Ravensthorpe Wildflower Drives, that have been have been designed to help wildflower enthusiasts find particular wildflowers in the district.

You can also take a leisurely walk along the Ravensthorpe Wildflower Walk. This walk along the Hopetoun-Ravensthorpe Railway Heritage Walk, is marked by plaques allowing you to identify flora, fauna and historical sites.
